Discount Jewelry

Discount jewelry is jewelry offered at a reduced price, generally by a jewelry discounter. Often discount jewelers can offer items at less than retail prices because of reduced overhead or by buying items in large bulk at a reduced price from wholesalers and passing the savings on to the consumer. Clearance Jewelry

Clearance jewelry is jewelry that has been offered for sale at a retail store, then has been marked down dramatically for quick sale. Reasons for items being placed on clearance are many. Such reasons may include that the jewelry store is overstocked with that particular item; the item has been on display for an extended period of time and hasn't sold; the item has been damaged; the item is considered "last season"; or that the manufacturer has discontinued the item.

Wholesale Jewelry

Wholesaling jewelry is the sale of jewelry to retailers or business owners. Wholesalers often purchase large lots of jewelry; sort, grade, and repackage it into small lots; then resell it to a jewelry store. Buyers choosing to buy direct from a jewelry wholesaler remove the jewelry store from the sales chain along with the shop's sales margin. The buyer may incur some risk in that some wholesalers may not offer as extensive warrantees or guarantees for their products as do retail jewelers.
